Criminal Statute Identification Program
CSIP®consists of two (2) programs in one – CSIP® Basic Crimefinder TM and CSIP® Advanced CrimefinderTM
CSIP® Basic CrimefinderTM is a comprehensive criminal statute reference guide. Using a simple one touch system (no typing required), the officer chooses the first letter of the crime. For example, the officer would choose “B” for Burglary. Seconds later, the officer is reading the full verbatim Burglary statute on their computer screen. No more wasting time flipping through a book.
CSIP® Advanced CrimefinderTM guides an officer through complex criminal statutes using a short series of questions. By answering a few “Yes” or “No” questions, the program sorts through the convoluted statutes to find the proper statute that the officer needs. |

Traffic Statute Identification Program
TSIPTM Basic CrimefinderTM is a comprehensive traffic statute reference guide. Using a simple one touch system, the officer chooses the first letter of the applicable traffic infraction. For example, the officer would choose “S” for Speeding. The officer is then directed to a sublist of all of the traffic violations beginning with that chosen letter. The officer would then choose a violation and be immediately directed to the full verbatim statute.
This process eliminates the need for the current “cheat sheets” that are often used by officers. Although these sheets offer a quick reference, they do not allow the officers to review the actual statute for accuracy. This ultimately leads to many traffic fines being dismissed on appeal, as well as causing many criminal cases to be dropped (if the traffic violation was the basis for the encounter).
This program will allow your officers to find traffic violations that they never knew existed, which gives the officer more “tools” and may generate more revenue for the agency.
